Len Paoletti was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. After graduating from Brandeis University with a degree in Art, he continued his studies at the University of Pittsburgh. While there, he won a first prize in a student competition. He returned to Boston to work for a public relations firm doing graphic and design work. But after five years there, he knew that there would never be time for his painting unless he made the time. So he quit the corporate life-style and moved to Provincetown, Massachusetts, where he lived for the past twenty-six years. While his summer months are occupied running his business, Elephant Walk Inn, he has always found time to paint. At first, he concentrated on portraits and male group scenes so familiar to Provincetown visitors. During the 80s, he had one man shows in Provincetown at the galleries "Secrets" and "Handle with Care." His work was also included in group shows in New York and Los Angeles. In later years, he has shown at "Icon" and "The Charles-Baltivik Gallery." Currently his work can be seen at the "Dorian Studio" in Provincetown. In 2001, he was part of a show at the "Leslie-Lohman Gallery" in New York. In recent years, Len has expanded his subject matter to include the flowers, the gardens, and small landscapes of Provincetown. Using the same technique he employs in creating portraits of people, he paints portraits of specific flowers and places. Len now lives in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Winters spent in Florida have prompted Len to add some tropical themes to his subject matter, and it is in Florida that he has found many of the men who figure so prominently in his latest works. His paintings can be found in private collections across the country as well as in Canada and in Europe. For a private showing at his home in Fort Lauderdale feel free to contact him directly. Len is also available for private commissions. For more information, contact him directly. Home | Men | Vistas | Contact | Links Fort Lauderdale, Florida, (954) 730-0664 |
